Overview in PDF Form
The Southwest Human Resource Association (SHRA) originally organized as the traveling Southwest Minnesota Personnel Association brought together, during the 70’s and early 80’s, personnel people from many communities. The Southwest Minnesota Personnel Association then split and became the Marshall Area Personnel Association before finally becoming the Southwest Human Resource Association.
Area personnel began meeting on a regular monthly basis in June 1985. Although small in number, the benefits were many!
SHRA, throughout its existence has provided the individual with a professional atmosphere to develop and grow.
The 1980’s and 1990’s presented our organization with opportunities challenging our minds and the creativity that each of us possess. Meeting the needs of our business and its people is our most important concern.
SHRA is a non-profit organization led by its officers, elected annually by the membership. In 2002 SHRA became an affiliate chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM).
